Gaibandha District Superintendent of Police Kamal Hossain said, Gaibandha District Police is working tirelessly to ensure the safe journey of people who are driven by women on Eid.

Additional police have been deployed to keep the 32 km highway of Gaibandha district free of traffic. Along with increasing intelligence surveillance to prevent bangles and robberies, public awareness is being created. Special leaflets have been distributed to create public awareness among driver supervisors and helpers to prevent road accidents.

He said these things while inaugurating the Yatri Chauni temporarily set up at Palashbari Chowmatha Junction to ensure the night security of the people who travel by women on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr on the afternoon of April 5.

He also said that the police are always on the side of the people to ensure the safety of people's lives and property. When asked about the arrest of the members of the Kishore Gang, the Superintendent of Police said that 4 people have already been arrested. The rest have been kept under surveillance.
