
Police, RAB's sub-control room inaugurated in Rangpur

To provide services to passengers, protect them from extortionists, and ensure the safe journey of people heading home on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, the Rangpur Metropolitan Police and RAB-13 sub-control room have been inaugurated at Modern crossroad, the heart of Rangpur metropolis.
The sub-control room was inaugurated by Metropolitan Police Commissioner Majid Ali at Modern More in the city on Monday. Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Zainul Abedin, commander of RAB-13, was the special guest at the event.
Among others, Wasimul Bari Raj, general secretary of Rangpur Motor Owners Association, and Harun Chowdhury, convener of Motor Workers Union, were present at the event.
At the event, the Metropolitan Commissioner said that this sub-control room will provide vehicle movement, passenger safety and emergency services before and after Eid, as well as any information, guidance and assistance. He said to the drivers, you will drive according to the rules. Do not commit any irregularities on the road. If irregularities are committed, cases and legal action will be taken immediately. Pointing to the third gender, the Commissioner said, if you ask for help, someone will give it. If you force them, legal action will be taken by calling them extortionists. In this regard, he called for everyone's cooperation to ensure service to passengers during Eid.
Senior officers of the Police-RAB, Motor Owners Association and leaders of the Workers' Union were present at the time.
