PM Tarique Rahman addresses high-level meeting on sea-level rise at UN

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman addressed a high-level meeting titled "High-level Meeting to Address the Existential Threats Posed by Sea-Level Rise" held at Conference Room 4 of the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Thursday.
During his speech, the Prime Minister highlighted the multidimensional and existential threats posed by rising sea levels to climate-vulnerable nations, including coastal and island states. He underscored the imperative for coordinated international action, equitable climate financing, enhanced adaptation capabilities, and effective global support for affected nations to combat the severe impacts of climate change.
The high-level meeting, convened on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81), was attended by heads of state, heads of government, and representatives from international organizations.
