Plantation program inaugurated in Shibganj

With the aim of implementing 1 crore tree plantation program in the entire Rajshahi division, the tree plantation program has been inaugurated in Shibganj, Bogura. Upazila Awami League President and Upazila Chairman Alhaj Mostafizar Rahman Mosta auspiciously inaugurated the tree planting program organized by upazila administration on Wednesday at 11 am.
Shibganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tahmina Akhter presided over the tree planting program attended by Shibganj Municipal Mayor Tauhidur Rahman Manik, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Tasnimuzzaman, Upazila Vice Chairman Shahnewaz Bipul, Female Vice Chairman Jannati Akhtar Tumpa, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Zahirul Islam, Fisheries Officer Abdus Shakur, Women Affairs Officer Nahida Sultana, UP Chairman Shahjahan Chowdhury, Mahidul Islam.
It should be noted that under this tree plantation program, 143,000 trees will be planted in 12 unions and 1 municipality of the upazila. For this purpose, 5000 forest and fruit trees were planted on the roads of Municipality to Bihar today. Also, 3000 fruits and forest trees were distributed for plantation in 105 secondary level madrasas and high schools. The rest of the target trees will be distributed to various educational institutions, mosques and madrasas.
