Plan International Bangladesh celebrated 30 years of its glorious journey in Bangladesh at the RDRS Bangladesh Begum Rokeya Auditorium in the city on Sunday amid festivity.

The organization has been actively working for the past three decades in the country for community development, especially girls and youth’s empowerment.

Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur division Md. Zakir Hossain graced the event as chief guest while Kabita Bose, Country Director of Plan International Bangladesh, presided over the meeting. Divisional Director Family Planning Department of Rangpur Dewan Morshed Kamal, Superintendent of Police of Kurigram District Al Asad Md. Mahfuzul Islam was present at the event as a guest of honour.

The Divisional Commissioner said, "Plan International Bangladesh has been working in coordination with the Government of Bangladesh since its journey in1994. Its work for the welfare of children and youth is commendable.

Country Director of Plan International Bangladesh Kabita Bose delivered a welcome speech.
Earlier, the event began through the national anthem.

Success and achievements on different programs of the organizations were showcased, including a video documentary on 30 Years of Plan International activities in Bangladesh.

A panel discussion session was held where the participants discussed the pressing issues regarding climate change, girls and young women's empowerment, child rights and protection, and education.
