Due to low supply of electricity in Bhuyapur, the authorities are providing frequent load shedding. Public life has become boring. There is more load shedding in rural electrified areas than in Wapda.

On the other hand, 1.5 MW is being supplied out of 5 MW of electricity to the customers under the coverage of Bhuyapur Upazila Palli Vidyut Samiti. Sometimes 2.5 MW is supplied if the pressure is low in electricity consumption in the country. As a result, the authorities are forced to supply electricity through load shedding.

It is known that people in rural areas are suffering due to frequent loadshedding of electricity and poultry farms are in trouble. Egg production is decreasing with chickens dying in summer. As a result, the farmers suffered losses. Apart from this, there is a loss in business due to lack of electricity. Apart from this, many low-voltage electrical items are being destroyed in rural areas.

Poultry farmers said that due to agitation and curfew, the poultry market collapsed. Also due to lack of electricity many chickens are dying and egg production is decreasing. Due to this, many farmers are leaving the business due to debt. Many have been victims of lawsuits while doing business with donations.

Mahbubur Rahman, assistant junior engineer of Mymensingh Palli Vidyut Samiti-1 Bhuyapur sub zonal office, said that electricity is not available compared to the demand. About one-fourth of the demand is available. As a result load shedding is forced. Even if customers talk a lot, they need to be understood.

Anwarul Islam, Executive Engineer of Bhuyapur Electricity Sales and Distribution Department, said that 17 megawatts of electricity is required to maintain normal electricity supply in the upazila. I am getting 8, sometimes 9 and 10 megawatts of electricity there. Upazila cities have to provide a little more. As a result, rural areas have to provide a little more load shedding. If we do not get electricity according to demand, we cannot distribute it.
