People expect good behavior from doctors: Health Minister

Health Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen said on Sunday that the people who go to the hospitals expect good behavior first from doctors.
Dr Samanta Lal said, “The people of our country are very conventional. Their demand is also limited. When they come to the doctor, they first want a little good behavior. Talk to them a little better, listen to them with a little attention. They are satisfied with this.”
The Health Minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at the orientation ceremony of the newly appointed officers of the 41st BCS (Health) and BCS (Family Planning) cadre held at the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Convention Hall.
He said, “I am only three and a half months old as a minister. In the short time, I have said the word repeatedly; I am the minister of the patients as well as the minister of doctors. I will not tolerate any attack on doctors nor doctor's negligence toward the patients.”
