People back independent aspirant in Narayanganj-1 strongly

Thousands of Rupganj residents attended a procession together in favour of independent candidate Shahjahan Bhuiyan, protesting the oppressive activities of local Member of Parliament Golam Dastagir Gazi.
They also conducted mass contact and held yard meeting urging all to vote for Shahjahan Bhuiyan, three-time chairman of Rupganj Upazila Parishad and General Secretary of the Upazila Awami League.
Trinamool BNP Secretary General and the party’s candidate for Narayanganj-1 constituency Advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker is also a victim of heinous torture by Golam Dastagir Gazi’s family.
He is promising locals to take Rupganj to the peak of development, rescuing all from the continuous repression and cruelty of Golam Dastagir Gazi.
The National Parliamentary Polls is scheduled to be held on 7 January. Candidates are conducting their campaign in full swing. They, accompanied by followers, supporters and workers, are seen meeting the voters, exchanging greetings with them and seeking their support.
Thousands of people of Murapara union started holding yard meeting for Shahjahan Bhuiyan in the morning. Meanwhile, local Awami League leaders and public representatives also sought votes for him.
They said that MP Golam Dastgir Gazi’s land grabbing, illegal drug business, money embezzlement, terrorist activities and filing of cases against innocents can be stopped if people vote for Shahjahan Bhuiyan and he wins in January 7 elections.
Former member of Ward No 6 Abdul Jabbar said that the people of Rupganj want relief from the oppression of the current MP. Everyone should try to make independent candidate Shahjahan Bhuiyan victorious in the polls.
While electioneering in Murapara Union, Shahjahan Bhuiyan said, if elected, he will work for the development of the backward area despite being very close to the capital.
“I will free people from the oppression of Gazi’s family,” he said.
Earlier, Trinamool BNP candidate Taimur Alam Khandaker campaigned in Ward No 6 of Murapara Union in Rupganj.
“Like common people of Rupganj, I myself am a victim of the torture of Awami League nominated candidate Golam Dastgir Gazi’s family,” he said.
