Public suffering has increased as the cold wave continues throughout the week in Sherpur n Bogura.

The winter of Magh has started at the last minute. This town is in a bad situation due to heavy fog and cold wind. From low-income people to children and the elderly people are affected by the severe winter.

At 9 am on Saturday (January 13), the temperature was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius. The temperature was the same yesterday and Friday. Sherpur covered in thick fog since dawn. The sun has not been visible for almost a week due to thick fog. A cold wind is blowing. The severity of winter increases due to the wind blowing from north-east or north-west direction. In proportion to that, the intensity of winter is increasing in this region.

Various areas of the upazila have been visited, the sun is covered by thick fog. Cloudy weather has been prevailing since morning. Low income professionals including young students are in trouble due to severe winter. Agricultural workers, day laborers, various working people. Their daily income has decreased.

They are living hard with their families. Although many people do not leave their homes except for necessity, low-income professionals have gone to work ignoring the winter in order to earn a living. Farmers are also in trouble. They are also unable to work in the farm due to the outbreak of cold. Working people and low income people are not getting the necessary warm clothes. Vagabonds walking on the streets are also suffering from winter.

In the morning, old van worker Shah Alam said, even if there is fog, there is nothing to do, brother. We are poor people. Cold will not give rice in the stomach. I could not drive the van for the last two days. I was forced to go out with the van today. You have to earn money by paying rent.

Lutfar, another van driver, said, "cold and thick fog covered the whole area".No one wants to ride a van easily because of fog. So I can't get the rent. No rent for several days. I earned only 150 taka for rent yesterday. Will the family of four people run with it? I went out with the van in the morning in the fog. If there is mercy of Allah, it will be earned.

Day laborer Komin said, it is very cold. But what to do? The family runs on daily wages. So I am going to work in the fog and cold. If it doesn't work, how can we do it?

Meanwhile, people from children to the elderly are suffering from winter-related diseases including pneumonia, asthma, asthma, shortness of breath and diarrhea due to winter.

Cold-related patients are receiving treatment outdoors in upazila hospitals. Besides treatment, doctors are giving various suggestions to cure cold-related diseases.
