PBI recovered 8 stolen motorcycles from Char areas in Chandpur

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Chandpur recovered 8 stolen motorcycles from Borchar area of Ekhlachpur Union west of Meghna River in Matlab Uttar Upazila of Chandpur.
PBI Chandpur Superintendent of Police (SP) on Friday (December 29) evening. Mustafa Kamal Rashed informed this information.
PBI started investigation on the basis of a case of Chandpur Sadar Model Police Station where a motorcycle was stolen on December 20. In that incident, on December 23, Bappi (21) of Matlab Uttar Upazila, Hasan Ahmed and Md. Three members of motorcycle thief gang named Rajib (21) were arrested in raids in Narayanganj and Matlab North. At that time, 5 motorcycles were recovered according to the information given by them.
SP Mustafa Kamal Rashed said, after the arrest of the thief gang member, we got several information.
Then on December 29, the investigating officer of the case, Deputy Inspector (SI) with the guidance and overall cooperation of the higher authorities. Amirul Islam Mir formed a special group. The team recovered 8 motorcycles stolen by the gang of thieves directly involved in the case from Borchar Dwip area of Ekhlachpur Union of Matlab Uttar Upazila.
The SP also said that during the investigation, the arrested accused disclosed information that they were selling their stolen motorcycles on that side of the river. Based on the information provided by the accused, the recovery of the motorcycles was carried out. So far 13 motorcycles have been recovered.
