Before the official campaign for the 12th National Assembly elections started, it was alleged that the terrorist group of rebel candidate Md. Mahbubur Rahman has allegedly threatened to break the arms and legs of the supporters of boat symbol in Patuakhali-4 seat.

Besides, in order to spread fear among boat-loving voters, threats are being made that 'boat' candidates will not be able to stay in the election field after 18th December. Upazila Awami League president, accused in several ACC cases, rebel candidate Mahbub's pet terrorist Aslam, Zia publicly threatened on Thursday (December 14) evening in Shanibaria bazaar of Kalapara Upazila. Upazila Awamileague has complained to the EC about this.

According to the complaint source, the corrupt, godfather of terrorists, Md. Mahbubur Rahman, was deprived of party nomination in the 11th and 12th National Parliament elections and established a reign of terror by using the muscle power of his pet terrorists to seize the electoral field.

The ordinary voters of Lalua and Baliatli Unions have become hostages in the hands of VP Zia and Aslam forces. After the evening of December 14, Zia, Aslam got drunk and called the voters of Shanibaria Bazar and threatened to kill and break their hands and feet if they voted for the boat. Besides, the terrorist VP Zia is indulging in malicious attempts to defame the boat candidate by spreading inflammatory statements from his Facebook ID.

Aggrieved voters complain, drug addict Aslam, Zia threatens us that after 18th there will be no name of boat candidate. They are threatening to break their hands and feet if they vote by boat on election day. We common voters are scared. However, the complaint has been denied by rebel candidate Md. Mahbubur Rahman.

114, Assistant Returning Officer in charge of Patuakhali-4 Constituency and Kalapara UNO Md Jahangir Hossain said, 'We are looking into the matter. Action will be taken according to the election rules in this regard.'
