
Patuakhali-2 : Former chief whip ASM Firoz elected MP for 8th time

Former chief whip and freedom fighter A.S.M. Feroz was elected as a member of Parliament for the eighth time from Patuakhali-2 Bauphall seat.
He won by getting 1 lakh 24 thousand 292 votes in 114 polling stations in the privately announced results. His nearest rival National Pati candidate Mohsin Howlader got 2 thousand 951 votes. On Sunday night, this information was reported from the office of Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Assistant Returning Officer.
In response to winning for the eighth time, former chief whip veteran freedom fighter A.S.M Feroze told this correspondent , "I have been involved in the politics of Awami League . For 45 years. I have been elected as a Member of Parliament for the eighth time with the love of local leaders and people. I have been giving more time to the people of the area instead of spending more time with my family.
Apart from urgent work in Dhaka, I am working alongside party leaders, workers and common people for the development of the area. The people of the area have ensured the victory of the boat with love. Sheikh Hasina's development, people's prayers and love this victory.
A.S.M. Feroze said to the party leaders and workers, "Just as the victory of the boat was snatched away by preventing various conspiracies, it will be everyone's responsibility to maintain a peaceful position in the area." Everyone can be on guard so that any kind of provocation does not lead to Bishunkhala Susthi.
