Pakistan envoy meets PM Hasina, greets on election victory

The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh Syed Ahmed Maroof has congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the victory of her party, Awami League, in the national election held on Sunday.
During a courtesy call to the prime minister at her residence, he conveyed a message of goodwill and friendship from the Pakistani leadership, said a press release.
He expressed his hopes for the continued strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
In response, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked High Commissioner Maroof for the congratulatory message and felicitated him on his appointment as the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Dhaka.
