Open discussion meeting held for safe highways, accident prevention in Jaintapur

An open discussion meeting was held in Jaintapur, Sylhet, for safe highways and accident prevention.
Keeping in mind the theme of "Safe and smooth transportation is the commitment of Bangladesh Police", an open discussion meeting was held jointly by the District Police Sylhet and Tamabil Highway Police Station Sylhet.
On Monday, an open discussion meeting was held at Darvast Bazar in Jaintapur Upazila at 4:30 pm. The meeting was chaired by Arafat Rahman Coco Sports Association Jaintapur Upazila Branch President Almas Ahmed and Traffic Inspector (Admin) Rafiqul Islam Mridha.
An open discussion meeting was held with local leaders, transport workers, owners, owners of establishments near the road, road-related businessmen and stakeholders on ensuring safe roads to prevent accidents on roads and highways.
The police called on the public to come forward with their cooperation to ensure safe roads and highways and prevent accidents.
The special guest at the discussion meeting was Jaintapur Model Police Station OC Abul Basar Mohammad Badruzzaman, Tamabil Highway Police Station OC Md. Habibur Rahman, Traffic Inspector Mohammad Shamsuzzaman, Jaintapur Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Md. Usman Gani.
The invited special guests who spoke were - former chairman of Darvast Union Parishad Alhaj Enayet Ullah, senior teacher Master Enayet Ullah, chairman of Darvast Union Parishad Baharul Alam Bahar, former Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Jaintapur branch Nazmul Islam, current Amir Golam Kibria, Maulana Kabir Ahmed, UP members Muslim Ali, Rakib Ahmed, youth leader Md. Nasir Uddin, BNP leader Md. Lutfar Rahman, Tamabil Bus Owners Association President Haji Nur Uddin, General Secretary Eng. Elias Uddin, Upazila Jubo Dal Joint Conveners Sabbir Ahmed, Selim Ahmed, Nurul Haque, Jaintapur Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Badrul Alam Shaon, District Chhatra Dal member Farhaduzzaman Fahad, leaders of various organizations in the upazila, media workers and leaders of the transport sector were present.
