Ongoing projects to be revised in alignment with govt manifesto: Abdul Awal Mintoo

Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Abdul Awal Mintoo has announced that all ongoing development projects will be revised and aligned with the government's election manifesto.
The minister made the remarks while presiding over an inter-ministerial meeting held between the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Ministry of Planning on Monday.
The high-level meeting took place at the ministry's conference room to review ongoing projects and unapproved new initiatives included in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the 2026–2027 fiscal year.
Emphasizing the need for swift implementation, Minister Mintoo stated that new projects will be fast-tracked so that their tangible results become visible within the current tenure of the government. He added that initiatives will be structured to reflect the hopes and aspirations of the general public, reiterating the administration's firm commitment to fulfilling its promises.
State Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Sheikh Faridul Islam, speaking as a special guest, noted that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is regularly monitoring all developmental activities and advised that upcoming projects be designed to maximize public benefit.
State Minister for Planning Md. Junaid Abdur Rahim Saki also participated in the review discussions. In his remarks, the State Minister for Planning stated that under the directives of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, projects across all ministries are being thoroughly evaluated.
The meeting was attended by Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr. Fahmida Khanam, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr. Md. Saimum Parvez, Agriculture, Water Resources and Rural Institutions Division Member (Secretary) Md. Mahmudul Hossain Khan, General Economics Division Member (Secretary) Dr. Monzur Hossain, along with additional secretaries, heads of various departments, project directors, and other senior officials.
