One arrested with domestic weapons, drugs in Gobindaganj

A drug dealer named Shamim Sheikh (32) has been arrested by the joint forces in Gobindaganj, Gaibandha, along with a large quantity of domestic weapons and drugs. The arrested Shamim Sheikh is the son of Amirul Islam, a resident of Dakshin Sholagari village in Kochashhar union of the upazila.
On Monday around 12 midnight, the army and police jointly conducted a special operation in Dakshin Sholagari village of Kochashhar union of
the upazila and arrested him with drugs and domestic weapons.
At that time, 22 knives, 4 knives, 2 ramda, 3 daggers, 18 pieces of buprenorphine injection, 6 pure heroin, yaba powder and foil paper, 6 mobile phones and 2 CCTV cameras were recovered.
Confirming the matter, OC of Gobindaganj Police Station Bulbul Islam said, Shamim Sheikh had been dealing in drugs for a long time. In view of this, the operation was conducted based on secret information. A case has been filed at the police station under the Arms and Narcotics Control Act in this incident.
