On the occasion of joining the new upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Nazmul Islam in Morelganj of Bagerhat, a view exchange meeting was held with officials of various departments, elite and journalists working in Morelganj upazila.

The discussion meeting was held on Tuesday at 3 pm in the Conference Room of the upazila Parishad organized by the upazila administration.

In the meeting, the new UNO Nazmul Islam introduced himself and later inquired about the identity and activities of the present persons.

He also requested everyone to bring back the citizen services of various government departments of the upazila quickly.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Badruddoza, Police Station Officer Incharge Mohammad Shamsuddin, Upazila BNP convener Shahidul Haque Babul, Town BNP convener Shikdar Faridul Islam, Member Secretary Principal Jahangir Al Azad, Rural Electricity Morelganj Zonal Office DGM Khandkar spoke among others.

In the meeting, various problems of Morelganj Upazila including formation of commodity price monitoring cell, warehousing of daily commodities, stopping child marriage, eradicating drugs from the youth, forming regular committee to stop sale of adulterated products and taking appropriate measures for supervision, increasing the quality of public services for birth registration and death registration were discussed.
