A colorful rally and discussion meeting was held on the occasion of the auspicious inauguration of the newly constructed building of Bangladesh Railway Running Staff and Labor Employees Sylhet Branch Office.

On Wednesday (November 20) morning, a colorful rally took place at the Sylhet railway station area and ended at the newly constructed office. Later, the guests inaugurated the newly constructed office by hoisting the flag and cutting the ribbon.

After the inauguration, the discussion meeting organized by Bangladesh Railway running staff and labor employees, Sylhet Branch president Mr. Kamal Uddin presided over and secretary Md. Atiqur Rahman conducted the programme. general secretary of the organization's central committee Md. Mojibur Rahman spoke as the chief guest. Central Executive President Md Saidur Rahman, Central Leader Mirza Md Shahed Ali, Central Organizing Secretary ABM Shafiqul Alam, Co-Organizing Secretary Mohsin Ali, Central Co-Editorial Secretary Zahedul Islam, Central Publicity Secretary Omar Farooq, Central Joint Office Secretary Abdur Rahman, Central Joint Sports Secretary Abdur Rahman, Central Member Zahidul Islam Talukder, Dhaka Branch President Md. Shariful Islam, Secretary Saidur Rahman, Secretary of Rail Sramik League Sylhet Branch Shahidul Haque.

At the beginning of the meeting, Imam of the Railway Mosque recited from the Holy Quran and Paritosh Dhar Pappu, the working member of the organization gave a welcome speech. Also present on the occasion were - Senior Engineers of different departments of Sylhet Railway, Sylhet Railway Station Manager, Station Master, CI / RNB, Railway Police Station officials, Guard Council leaders, leaders from different branches, leaders of different railway trade unions, and others.

Speakers in the meeting said that the Bangladesh Railway Running Staff Employees Union Sylhet and Kulaura branch has promised to cancel the discriminatory conditions No. 12 and 13 of the employment letter of the running staff appointed in 2022 by October 30 and provide them with 'part of pay' running allowance plus pension and pleasure. Demanded to withdraw all the objections of the Finance Ministry and issue orders in the light of existing Railway Codes and Rules.
