Members of Rangamati Hill District Council Minhaj Murshid and Md. Habib Azam were felicitated by the people of Longadu Upazila.

The conference was held on Sunday in Longdu Public Library auditorium under the chairmanship of Md. Harunur Rashid, Lecturer of Longdu Government Model College and moderated by Md. Anichur Rahman.

Md. Minhaj Murshid, (Member of Longadu Upazila) and Md. Habib Azam (Rangamati Sadar Upazila), newly appointed members of the Zilla Parishad, were present as welcome guests.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Longadu Upazila Ameer Maulana Md. Nashir Uddin, Bangladesh Nationalist Dal Upazila General Secretary Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Joint Secretary Md. Abdul Halim, Youth Dal convener Md. Jane Alam, Ibn Sina Hospital and Diagnostic Center Longadu Project were present as special guestsCoordinator Md. Saiful Islam, Principal of Mainimukh Islamia Fazil Madrasa Maulana Ferdous Alam, Ganthachara Baitush Sharaf Madrasa Complex Super Maulana Forkan Ahmed, and Mainimukh Model High School Principal Rafiqunnesha.

Upazila President of Jatiyatavadi Chhatra Dal Md Raihan, Upazila President of Islami Chhatra Shibir Shahed Alam Imon, Longadu Upazila President of Hill Chittagong Chhatra Parishad Sumon Talukdar etc. also gave greetings.

Minhaj Murshid, the newly appointed member of Rangamati Hill District Council, said, "I am overwhelmed by the way I was welcomed today in a festive atmosphere." We don't want to be left behind, we have to move forward. We all have to work together for the betterment of the area. We all have to unite and work for society, nation and country. We have to be educated with real and good education, without education the progress of any nation is impossible. We must keep pace with the advanced nations in the glory of knowledge and virtue.

Md. Habib Azam, one of the members of the Zilla Parishad, said Longadu is one of the upazilas in the Rangamati hill district. All must work together to improve and prosper this Longadu Upazila. We will do our best to improve the region with your overall cooperation. Longadu of future will be the model of hilly region.

Speakers present at the event said dictatorship

We all have to be vigilant so that there is no more discrimination in this free country, so that no one can become a dictator. We have to arrange for the completion of various developmental activities in Longdu especially the only road from Longdu to Nanyarchar via Rangamati, dredging of Kachalong river. Maximum efforts should be made to meet the demands of the people of the upazila and called for future action and action on education from the dictatorial government.
