New director seeks journalists' cooperation in dev of Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Hospital

Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital Director Brigadier General Dr. AKM Moshiul Munir has requested journalists to provide various information for the development of the hospital.
He sought this cooperation in a meeting with journalists in Barishal at 11:30 am on Monday.
He said that there is nothing to hide in the public interest. At present, the Army is on duty across the country, so I have been given the responsibility of managing the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital by the Bangladesh Army.
This hospital will try to fulfill the demand of ensuring good quality healthcare for the patients. To that end, journalists will have to cooperate by providing information and advice.
He said that various irregularities in this hospital have been going on for a long time. They will be resolved gradually through everyone's cooperation.

Acting President of Barishal Press Club Kazi Al Mamun, President of Barishal Metropolitan Press Club Abul Kalam Azad, General Secretary of Barishal Reporters Unity Khalid Saifullah and more than a hundred journalists working in Barishal from print and electronic media were present.
At this time, the journalists said that in the past, this hospital lacked development and proper management.
They demanded the appointment of adequate manpower to ensure proper service to patients in the future, activation of broken machines including MRI for examination and testing, cobalt 60, and infrastructural development and suggestions to increase the quality of patient food, as well as prevention of infiltration of patient brokers and additional visitors.
It is to be noted that, as per the long-standing demands and expectations of the southerners, on November 25, Brigadier General Dr. AKM Moshiul Munir of the Bangladesh Army, SGP, SUP, MBBS, MPhil, MPH, MDM, took over as the director of Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
After taking charge of this hospital, he held a meeting with all unit heads, professors, associate professors, assistant professors, mid-level doctors, representatives of civil society in Barisal, and representatives of political parties to improve the quality of patient service in the hospital. In continuation of this, he held a meeting with more than a hundred print and electronic media journalists in Barisal on Monday.
Brigadier General Dr. AKM Mashiul Munir joined the Medical Corps of the Bangladesh Army after completing his MBBS from Rajshahi Medical College. He completed his postgraduate studies in hospital management and MPhil and Masters in disaster management.
Before joining Barisal Medical College Hospital, he served as the commander of Dhaka, Bogra, and Rangpur Combined Military Hospitals. He also commanded the Armed Forces Medical Store and Depot. He served in the Field Medical Unit and BDR and BGB for a long time.
Brigadier General AKM Moshiul Munir, who has recently joined as the 68th Director of Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, has travelled to more than 18 countries. He has also served in two UN missions.
He has been awarded the Sena Gaurav Padak and Sena Utkarsh Padak for his outstanding contributions . He has also worked in the Military Secretary's Wing of the Army Headquarters.
Where he worked on human resource management, specially career planning of Army Medical Corps Officers, Dental Corps Officers and Nursing Officers.
