New committee of Cox's Bazar Press Club announced

The new Executive Committee of Cox's Bazar Press Club was formed due to resignation of four members of the Executive Council and the consensus of the general members.
15 member committee. Mahbubur Rahman has been made President and Mumtaz Uddin Bahari General Secretary.
Those holding other positions are GAM Ashek Ullah Vice President, Ikram Chowdhury Tipu Joint General Secretary, Nurul Islam Helali Treasurer, Anshar Uddin Literary and Cultural Secretary, MR Mahbub Sports Secretary and Hasanur Rashid Library Secretary.
Besides, the members of the Executive Council are Atahar Iqbal, Muhammad Nurul Islam, Kamal Hossain Azad, Shamsul Haque Sharek, Advocate Muhammad Abu Chiddiq Usmani, MR Khokon and Md Hashim.
Founding member SM Aminul Haque Chowdhury officially announced this committee at the press club on Thursday afternoon.
In addition to the leaders, general members of the Cox's Bazar Press Club were also present.
The leaders announced that the press club would be open to professional journalists, rising above party opinion. He also announced that initiatives will be taken to establish the press club as a meeting place of trust and confidence for professional journalists.
