A rally and discussion meeting were held in Moulvibazar on the occasion of National Road Safety Day 2025, under the theme: “Quality Helmet and Safe Speed, Reduce Loss of Life and Property " on Wednesday.
The rally started from the Deputy Commissioner’s office, passed through the Press Club premises, and concluded back at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Afterwards, in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, the discussion meeting was held with Deputy Commissioner Md. Israil Hossain as the chief guest.
The meeting was presided over by Additional District Magistrate Mamunur Rashid, and speeches were delivered by Additional Superintendent of Police (Admin & Finance) Asif Mohiuddin, PPA, former District BNP General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Mizan, District Jamaat Secretary Yamir Ali, District BNP leader Md. Fakhrul Islam, District Hefajat leader Jamil Ahmad Kasem, July Manch convener Tanzila Shishir, anti-discrimination student leader Kazi Monzur, and Mishbah Ahmad, among others.
The rally and discussion meeting were attended by representatives from BRTA, Roads and Highways Department, various dignitaries, political figures, and journalists. During the event, checks worth 2 million Taka were handed over to the families of 6 accident victims, and over a hundred helmets were distributed to motorbike riders.
