National Disaster Preparedness Day celebrated in Gobindaganj

"Disaster forecasting and preparedness saves lives" A discussion meeting and fire drill were held in Gobindaganj, Gaibandha on the occasion of the National Disaster Preparedness Day.
Upazila Project Implementation Officer Jindar Ali delivered the welcome speech at the discussion meeting presided over by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Asaduzzaman, organized by the Gobindaganj Upazila Administration (Disaster Management Department) at the Upazila Parishad Conference Room.
Among others, the meeting was addressed by Upazila Jamaat Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Sarkar, Gobindaganj Press Club President Rabiul Kabir Monu, Upazila President of Islami Andolon Maulana Akram Hossain Raju, Publicity Secretary ABS Elias, Upazila Food Controller Rawsanul Kawsar, Upazila Primary Education Officer Masud Rana, Journalist Tarajul Islam and Fire Service Team Leader Masud Rana.
Earlier, a drill was held at the Upazila Eidgah ground for Gobindaganj Fire Service and Civil Defense personnel on pre-preparedness to deal with various types of disasters.
