National Disaster Preparedness Day celebrated in Bamna

A discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom at 11 am on Monday to raise public awareness about dealing with natural disasters including cyclones.
Keeping in mind the theme of "Disaster Forecasting and Preparation, Saves Lives and Losses", National Disaster Preparedness Day 2025 was celebrated in Bamna, Barguna.
Organized by the Upazila Administration and Disaster Management Office at 11 am on Monday (March 10), the day began with a rally starting from the Upazila Parishad premises, circling the main roads and ending at the Upazila Parishad premises.
The discussion meeting, chaired by Bamna Upazila Executive Officer Mosa: Nikhat Ara, was addressed by Bamna Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Harun Or Rashid Howlader, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Tariqul Islam, Bamna Press Club President Abu Naser Siddique Kibria, Union Parishad Acting Chairman Brinda, Bamna Banik Samity General Secretary Md. Raihan Nazir Dhalu, Bukabunia Union Jubo Dal Convener Mostafizur Rahman Masum, among others. National Disaster Preparedness Day is celebrated on March 10 every year.
