National Constitution Day 2023 was celebrated at the initiative of Baniachong upazila administration of Habiganj district.

On this occasion, Habiganj-2 Baniachong Azmiriganj Constituency MP Alhaj Advocate Abdul Majeed Khan spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mahbubur Rahman at noon on Saturday (November 4) at the Upazila Parishad conference room.

In the speech of the chief guest, Abdul Majid Khan MP said that the father of the nation, Bangabandhu, under the leadership of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, drafted the constitution of Bangladesh within just 9 months of the country's independence. No country in the world could have drafted a constitution for public welfare in such a short time.

He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set an example by repeatedly holding fair elections in the country in the light of the 1972 constitution. And BNP Jamaat wants to come to power by creating chaos, which the people of the country will never accept. The MP told the protesters to stop the violence and anarchy and go to the people, participate in the elections. MP Abdul Majeed Khan claimed that Jamaat BNP will be divided again like in the past.
