One of the killers, Mostafizur Rahman and Faisal Ali, are still absconding in the murder of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency Member of Parliament Anwarul Azim Anna. Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) launched a helicopter operation to arrest these two.

Under the leadership of Additional Commissioner (DB) of DMP Harun -Or -Rashid, multiple teams of DB are conducting raids in Khagrachari and Chittagong.

On May 12, MP Annar went to India from Kaliganj in Jhenaidah for treatment. Went to the house of a friend named Gopal Biswas on Mandalpara Lane of Barahnagar police station in West Bengal. The next day he left the house saying to see the doctor. Since then, Anwarul Azim disappeared mysteriously.

Five days after leaving the house, on May 18, friend Gopal Biswas filed a GD regarding Anwarul Azim's disappearance at Barahnagar police station. Even then, this three-time member of parliament was not found. On May 22, news suddenly spread that Anwarul Azim was murdered in room BU 56 of a residential building called Sanjiba Gardens in the Newtown area of Kolkata. Traces of blood are found inside the house. But the body was not found in the house.

Sangsad police say that MP Anar went to Kolkata on May 12. There, friend Gopal went to Biswas' house. The next day he was lured to that flat in New Town. At that time Shilasti, Shimul, Tanveer, assistant Jihad Howladar, Siam Hossain, Mostafizur Rahman, Faisal Ali were present in that flat.

ADC Junaid Alam of DMP's DB Cyber and Special Crime Division said that a helicopter operation is underway in different hills of Khagrachari and Chittagong to catch Faisal and Mostafiz, one of the two fugitives of the murder gang of MP Anna. DMP Additional Commissioner (DB) Haroon Or Rashid is leading the campaign there. Details will be given at the end of the campaign.
