MP Mokabbir Khan's nomination cancelled

Sylhet-2 constituency MP Mokabbir Khan’s nomination paper has been cancelled During the scrutiny on Sunday, Mokabbir’s nomination paper was canceled in the constituencies consisting of Biswanath and Osmaninagar upazilas, said Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Sheikh Russell Hasan.
Regarding the cancellation of Mokabbir Khan’s nomination, the returning officer said, “Candidate Mokabbir Khan himself signed his nomination as the executive president of the public forum. But he could not produce any proof to the Returning Officer that he got the post of Executive President of the party. Due to which his nomination paper has been declared cancelled.”
Regarding his candidature, Member of Parliament Mokabbir Khan told , “I am just coming to Dhaka, it will be resolved.”
Mokabbir Khan was elected in 2018 as a candidate for the Gano Forum from the BNP-led Oikyazot under the rising sun symbol.
