A newly constructed six-story academic building at Brahmanbaria Government Mohila College was officially inaugurated on Monday.

Engineer Khaled Hossain Mahbub Shyamal, Member of Parliament for Brahmanbaria-3 and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Commerce, formally inaugurated the building as the chief guest at a vibrant ceremony held on the college premises.

Presided over by College Principal Professor Abdul Hannan Khandakar, the inaugural event featured speeches from special guests including Brahmanbaria District Council Administrator and District BNP General Secretary Alhaj Sirajul Islam Siraj, District BNP Senior Vice President Zahirul Haque Khokon, former mayor Hafizur Rahman Molla Kochi, District BNP Vice President Alhaj ABM Mominul Haque, and Senior Joint General Secretary Ali Azam.

Additional remarks were delivered by Vice Principal Mizanur Rahman Shishir, Teachers' Council General Secretary Professor Majedul Islam, and Executive Engineer Nazmul Hossain. Assistant Professor Marzia Shabnam moderated the program, which was attended by college faculty members, local political leaders, students, and journalists from various print and electronic media.

In his address as chief guest, Engineer Shyamal emphasized the importance of women's higher education in Brahmanbaria and assured full support for launching honors and master's courses in multiple new subjects at the institution.

Following the formal inauguration, the chief guest and other dignitaries toured the classrooms of the new academic building and stressed the importance of concerted efforts to enhance the region's educational infrastructure.
