Mother, daughter killed in Bogura road crash; truck torched

A woman and her minor daughter were killed when a truck hit a van in Beragram of Dupchanchia upazila of Bogura district on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Roksana Parveen, wife of Abu Bakar Siddique of Satuapara village in Kahalu upazila and her daughter Rahia Khatun, 3.
The accident occurred in the afternoon, when the truck hit a van carrying Roksana and her daughter Rahia, leaving Rahia dead on the spot and Roksana injured, said Faridul Islam, officer-in-charge of Dupchanchia Police Station.
Local people took Roksana to a local hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
Roksana along with her daughter met the tragic accident while returning to her home from Jolongi village.
Angered by the accident, local people set the truck on fire following the accident.
