Monthly meeting on law, order situation held in Satkhira

The monthly law and order committee meeting was held in Satkhira to review the law and order situation and decide on measures to control crime. The meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room on Sunday (July 13) morning.
Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mostaq Ahmed presided over the meeting.
Satkhira Police Superintendent Mohammad Monirul Islam, Army Satkhira Camp Commander, Local Government Ministry Satkhira Deputy Director Mashruba Ferdous, District Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdus Salam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ripon Biswas, Satkhira Government College Principal Professor Abul Hashem, Government Women's College Principal Professor Basudeb Basu, Jamaat District Ameer Vice Principal Shahidul Islam Mukul, Secretary Maulana Azizur Rahman, District BNP Member Secretary Abu Zahid Dablu, Satkhira Press Club General Secretary Abdul Bari, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Shoaib Ahmad, Social Service Office Deputy Director Santosh Kumar Nath, Water Development Board-02 Executive Engineer, all Upazila Executive Officers, LGED Executive Officer Md. Rabiul Islam, District Information Officer Jaharul Islam were present at the meeting. Tutul, student representative Arafat Hossain, along with officials from various government and private organizations of the district, public representatives, political leaders, journalists and well-wishers were present.
The speakers said, "Awareness and cooperation of the general public along with the administration is very important in curbing crime. It is possible to keep the district safe with the collective efforts of everyone." The meeting discussed various issues including property disputes, terrorism and sabotage, drug and smuggling control, waterlogging, online gambling, human trafficking prevention, road accident reduction, ensuring discipline in educational institutions.
