Mobile networks in 9 coastal districts impacted for Remal

Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB) on Monday said mobile networks in nine coastal districts have been significantly impacted by the Cyclone Remal.
Due to disruptions in the electricity supply, approximately 15,000 sites are currently down in these areas, it said.
MNOs are closely working with the Power Authorities, Posts and Telecommunications Division and the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to restore the network as quickly as possible, it added.
Cyclone Remal completed its landfall and weakened to a land depression over Bangladesh on Monday, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
