Minister’s first official visit to Durgapur after assuming office

After assuming office as minister, State Minister for Land Barrister Kaysar Kamal, MP, is set to make his first official visit to Durgapur in Netrokona on Friday.
During the visit, he will participate in various government programs. The information was learned from a tour schedule signed by Md. Saiful Islam, Private Secretary (Acting) to the State Minister of the Ministry of Land.
According to the schedule, on Friday (27 February) at 6:00am, the State Minister will depart by road from his residence on Eskaton Road in Dhaka (via Shyamganj-Purbadhala) for Durgapur Upazila in Netrokona. At 10:00am, he will arrive at Durgapur Upazila Parishad and receive a salute (Guard of Honour). At 10:15am, he will take part in a tree plantation program at the Upazila Parishad premises, and at 10:30am, he will exchange views with government officials.
At 2:15pm, he will participate in a tree plantation program at the Durgapur Municipality premises. From 2:30pm to 4:00pm, he will hold a views-exchange meeting with municipal service officers and employees. From 4:00pm to 5:00pm, he will stay at the Dak Bungalow and then attend an Iftar Mahfil at the Susang Government College field. At 7:00pm, he will visit the traditional Doshbhuja Temple in the municipal town. At 8:00pm, he will depart for Kalmakanda Upazila and stay overnight at his residence.
Regarding the visit, UNO Afroza Afsana said, “All necessary preparations have been taken by the administration centering the State Minister’s official visit. We are working to ensure that all scheduled programs are completed smoothly.”
Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Alhaj Jamal Uddin Master expressed enthusiasm, saying, “This is his first visit after assuming responsibility as State Minister, which is highly significant for us. We are hopeful that his arrival will further accelerate development activities and political activities in the area.”
Upazila BNP President Zahirul Alam Bhuiya said, “This is the first time he is visiting Durgapur after taking charge as State Minister, which is a matter of great pride for us. He is fulfilling state responsibilities as a reflection of the people’s trust and love. We believe that under his capable leadership, the development of Durgapur and Kalmakanda will be further accelerated.”
Centering the State Minister’s official visit, widespread enthusiasm is being noticed among party leaders and activists as well as people from all walks of life. Local residents expect that through this visit, development activities in this neglected region will gain new momentum. They also hope that he will fulfill the promises he made regarding building a drug- and terrorism-free society, as well as ensuring progress in education, health, and preventing corruption.
