Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim, widely known as Char Monai Pir and Senior Naib-e-Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, has strongly condemned the brutal public murder of businessman Sohag in front of Mitford Hospital in Dhaka. 

He stated that “this barbaric act by Jubo Dal activists, who stoned a man to death for refusing to pay extortion, surpasses even the brutality of the age of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance).”

He made these remarks on Saturday  while addressing the 9th founding anniversary conference of Islami Jubo Andolan Bangladesh, jointly organized by its Barisal District and Metropolitan branches, held at Ashwini Kumar Town Hall, Barishal.

Char Monai Pir  further said:  "Our politics is not for killing people, but for establishing their rights and ensuring their welfare. Corruption, tender manipulation, extortion, and syndicate activities can never be the role of genuine political activists. Those who have turned politics into a money-making tool are the very ones who made Bangladesh the world champion in corruption five times in the past. But the people of Bangladesh are now more aware. Just as the people ousted Awami fascism through the July uprising, they will, InshAllah, also remove these neo-fascists.”

Mufti Mansur Ahmad Saki, Central Secretary General of Islami Jubo Andolan, spoke as the chief speaker. He stated: "During the July uprising of 2024, students and youth shed their blood in the streets and sacrificed their lives. It is this youth force that will one day establish a prosperous, just, and welfare-based state free of murder, abduction, rape, and extortion, InshAllah.”

The event was presided over by Hafiz Maulana Muhammad Rezaul Karim, President of Barisal City branch, and co-hosted by District General Secretary Hafiz Maulana Md. Sulaiman and City General Secretary Maulana Zahidul Islam.
