Members of executive council of Chuadanga Chamber going to be elected unopposed

The members of the Executive Council of the Chuadanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 biennial general elections are going to be elected unopposed. Till the last time of distribution of nomination papers till 6 pm yesterday, only 19 nomination papers were sold against a total of 19 posts including president, senior vice president and vice president.
Yesterday, the last day for distributing nomination papers for the Chuadanga Chair of Commerce and Industry was till 6 pm. On that day, 19 nomination papers were sold against 19 posts for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 biennial general elections of the Chuadanga Chair of Commerce and Industry. Out of these, 19 nomination papers were sold against a total of 19 posts including President, Senior Vice President and Vice President. The candidates are, President Yakub Hossain Malik, Senior Vice President Shaharin Haque Malik, Vice President Selim Ahmed. In addition, for the post of Director, S.M. Taslim Arif Babu, Arif Hossain Joarddar Sona, Tajul Islam Taju, Enamul Haque Shah& Mukul, Rahinur Islam Himalaya, Apu Kumar Sadhukha, Mofizur Rahman Mona and Palash Kumar Saha purchased nomination papers from the general member post. In addition, one candidate each from the associate members has purchased nomination papers for the post of director. The candidates are - Nasir Ahad Joardar, AKM Salauddin Mithu, Harun Or Rashid, Pavitra Kumar Agarwala and Suresh Kumar Agarwala.
The biennial general elections for the Chuadanga Chair of Commerce and Industry for the years 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 are scheduled to be held on Saturday, July 18. Earlier, the Election Commissioner announced the schedule for the elections on Saturday, July 18. According to the schedule, the last day for filing nominations was yesterday, until 6 pm
In this regard, Election Commissioner Advocate M.M. Shahjahan Mukul said, Chuadanga Chamber of Commerce formed the Election Management Board with me as the head of the Election Management Board. The other two members of the Management Board are Advocate M.M. Monowar Hossain Suruj and Advocate Asaduzzaman Milton. In addition, the Election Appeal Board was formed with Advocate Abdul Khalek as the head. The other members of the board are Advocate Ahsan Ali and Advocate Shahjamal.
He said, after being appointed as the Election Commissioner, I published the election schedule on April 27, setting July 18 as the election date as per the rules of Chuadanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As per the schedule, yesterday was the last day for the sale of nomination forms. On the last day of the sale of nomination papers, 16 nomination papers were sold against 16 director posts, including one for the post of president, one for the post of senior vice-president, and one for the post of vice-president.
