Mayor Dr Shahadat's initiative : CCC receives Tk 100 crores from Chittagong Port

Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain collected a maximum of Tk 100 crore from the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA ) in the history of Chittagong City Corporation at his initiative.
Chittagong Port Chairman Rear Admiral SM Muniruzzaman handed over a check of Tk 100 crore to the mayor on Wednesday afternoon. The port member (Harbar and Marine) Ahmed Amin Abdullah was also present on behalf of the port. Omar Farooq and Chief Revenue Officer Sarwar Kamal, Chief Accounting Officer Humayun Kabir Chowdhury.
At that time, the mayor said, "At present, we are subsidizing more than Tk 70 crore a year in the basic rights of the city dwellers. Immediately after taking charge, I insist on increasing the revenue collection to keep such services in Chass. I plan to collect the municipality from the port to the ministry. With the help of the ministry and the port authorities, the development of the city will be able to increase the city's communication system as well as increase civic services.
During this time, the mayor and port chairman discussed the improvement of the communication system of the port.
At the request of the port chairman, the mayor directed Anisur Rahman, Chief Engineer of Chittagong City Corporation to take immediate action to reform the damaged roads. The mayor said that the port will provide all kinds of assistance to keep the port active.
