Martyr Intellectuals Day was celebrated in Rangamati on Thursday.
A discussion meeting was organized by the Rangamati district administration on the occasion of Martyr Intellectuals Day. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
Rangamati Deputy Commissioner said, if the martyrs who killed were alive, they could have extended their hand to help the father of the nation in building the country. Bangladesh suffered a big blow on August 15, 1975. The anti-independence activists killed the entire family of the father of the nation and brought the country to the brink of destruction once again. Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina has brought the country to the world's development ranks. Bangladesh could not be suppressed even by killing intellectuals. People of Pakistan today are asking their government to make their state like Bangladesh. This is our pride.
Rangamati Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) SM Ferdous Islam presided over the discussion meeting Rangamati Police Superintendent Mir Abu Tauhid, Birmuktijodha Md Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Shibli Safiullah, Additional District Primary Education Officer Hrishikesh Sheel, District Information Officer Md Abdullah Al Mamun, District Directorate of Agriculture Extension Deputy Director Md Moniruzzaman Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Saiful Islam, heads of various departments and media personnel were present.
