Man killed in Barishal road crash

An unidentified man was killed and several others were injured after a bus collided with a truck at Gaurnadi upazila in Barishal district on Thursday night.
The accident took place on Dhaka-Barishal Highway at around 10pm on Thursday in Bezhar Station area under Mahilara union of the upazila.
According to the passengers, the Barishal-bound bus of Hanif Paribahan left Syedabad of the capital with 30-35 passengers.
The accident occurred when it tried to overtake another bus and collided with a truck coming from opposite direction and later it fell into a roadside pond.
Officer-in-charge of Gaurnadi Police Station Anwar Hossain said being informed police went to the spot. The injured were taken to Gournadi Upazila Health Complex and Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
A man died in the incident but his identities could not be found immediately.
