Md. Imran Hossain Chandu (24), the main accused in Madan rape case of Netrakona, was arrested by RAB-14, Kishoreganj camp.

The arrested Chandu Mia is the son of deceased Chandu Mia of Kaikuria (Maijpara) village of Madan upazila. RAB-14 CPC-2, Kishoreganj Squadron Leader Company Commander Md Ashraful KabirThe messenger confirmed this information to the journalists through a press release on Thursday night.

He said that on the night of April 14 this year, Md. Imran Hossain Chandu entered the victim's house and before the victim knew anything, he grabbed her face and threw her in the forest behind the house on the west side. He forcibly raped the victim against her will and left her. Later, the victim herself filed a rape case at Madan police station in Netrakona district. Which is case no-11/44 of Madan police station.

When the matter was publicized on social media and various print and electronic media, it created a nationwide sensation.He also said that since the case was filed, the main accused in the rape case, Md Imran Hossain alias Chandu, was running away to different parts of the country to avoid arrest. RAB detectives stepped up surveillance to bring the accused under the law.

In continuation of that, after collecting and analyzing various data about the location of the absconding main accused and based on the intelligence information, a raiding party of RAB-14, Kishoreganj camp conducted an operation at Barapul Mor area under Sadar police station of Kishoreganj district on June 6 at 10 pm, accused of rape case Md Imran Hossain alias Chandu was arrested. Later it was handed over to Madan police station of the district for taking legal action.
