Mahmud Koli, a prominent actor in the golden era of Bangladeshi cinema, will compete for the post of president from Nipun Akter’s panel for the upcoming Bangladesh Film Artistes Association (BFAA) election. BFAA’s General Secretary Nipun announced it on Sunday.

The decision came after the announcement of former president Ilias Kanchan, who declared not to participate in the upcoming election. The 2024-2025 fiscal years’ election is stated to be held on 27 April.
