LPG price slashed by Tk.30 per 12-kg cylinder

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) on Monday slashed the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Tk30 per 12-kg cylinder for the month of May.
The new price of each 12-kg cylinder is Tk1,363, down from the previous month's price of Tk1,393 at the consumer level.
BERC announced that the new fixed price will come into effect from 6:00 pm on Monday.
Besides, the price for 'auto gas', the LPG variant used in motor vehicles, has also been lowered to Tk62.53 from the existing price of Tk63.92 per litre.
Earlier in May, the price of a 12kg cylinder was reduced by Tk49 from Tk1,442 to Tk1,393 and in April, the price of a 12kg cylinder was reduced by Tk40 and fixed at Tk1,442.
