During the student movement, one of the people who openly created panic in Jaflong with domestic weapons and attacked the protesters was Sanwar Hossain, son of My TV journalist Humayun Ahmed, Joint general Secretary of Purba Jaflong Union Chhatra League.

This illiterate journalist named Humayun Ahmed has established a reign of terror in Jaflong through encroachment of government land and extortion. His son Sanwar Hossain openly opposed Jaflong during the student-public movement. There are multiple cases and GDs against this Chhatra League leader and his father Humayun Ahmed, most of which are pending in the courts. After multiple cases have been filed against him, the victims allege that he is now carrying out misdeeds behind the scenes with loyal terrorist forces. Through these criminal activities, he has become the owner of crores of taka in the last few years. It is known that there are multiple cases and GDs against the two father and son in Gowainghat Police Station and Sylhet Court. They have attacked the students who are enemies of the country and the nation.

Recently, the video footage of the confession of this illiterate journalist Humayun Ahmed in his own mouth has been spread on social media. Conscious circles demand that Chhatra League leader Sanwar and extortionist illiterate journalist Humayun Ahmed, who attacked the students, be arrested and punished under the law.

Gowainghat Police Station OC Sarkar Tofail Ahmed said that he has received several complaints against them and necessary action will be taken after investigation.
