Locals exchange views with MP Masud to ease public sufferings due to Bauphal

Member of Parliament Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud held a courtesy call and exchange of views with the local people in Adabaria Union of Bauphal Upazila of Patuakhali.
During this, the locals raised various issues of public suffering including the poor condition of the roads in the area, eradication of drugs, elimination of waterlogging, improvement of education and healthcare standards.
The exchange of views was held at Adabaria Union Parishad on Thursday at around 11 am. Local people and union and ward level officials of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami participated in it.
During the exchange of views, the MP inquired about the local people and was informed about their various problems, expectations and the overall situation of the area. During this time, the locals highlighted the various problems and sufferings of their daily lives and emphasized the need to take necessary steps.
The discussion focused on building a drug-free society, repairing dilapidated roads, building new roads where necessary, developing rural communication systems, providing clean water, and reducing waterlogging.
Emphasis is placed on increasing social awareness about drug eradication, keeping the young generation away from the dangers of drugs, and involving the youth in sports and constructive activities. According to locals, drug prevention requires a coordinated role from the administration and all concerned, along with social initiatives.
In addition, the development of rural roads will make it easier to transport and market agricultural products and reduce the suffering of the common people. Locals also expressed their hope that effective initiatives will be taken to ensure basic civic amenities including education and healthcare.
The exchange of views also discussed the organizational activities of each ward of Adabaria Union, the grievances of the local people, and the development plans of the area. Emphasis was placed on the responsibility of the grassroots level to maintain regular contact with the people, listen to their problems, and properly highlight issues of public interest.
The locals hope that the concerned authorities will take necessary initiatives to resolve the issues raised in this exchange of views. This will improve the communication system in Adabaria Union, alleviate public suffering, and pave the way for building a safe and drug-free society.
