Livestock Service Week and exhibitions were celebrated in the entire district and upazila with the slogan "Pranisampade Bharbo Desh Garbo smart Bangladesh".

rime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated this day at Dhaka Central on Thursday morning and gave her valuable speech. The whole country enjoyed it through BTV broadcast.

Later every district and upazila livestock service week and exhibition of the country was auspiciously inaugurated. Charghat Upazila Animal Resources Department and Veterinary Hospital of Rajshahi organized livestock service week and exhibition on Thursday morning.

On the occasion of this day, free vaccination program, free anthelmintic distribution program, farmer training and exchange meeting and finally the closing ceremony of Livestock Services Week will be announced from 19th to 22nd April.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Saida Khanam, Upazila Chairman Fakrul Islam and Municipal Mayor Ekramul Haque were present as special guests. Special guests and UNO started the program by blowing red ribbons and balloons at the Upazila Parishad campus.

At that time, Upazila Livestock Officer Sarkar Enayet Karim and other departmental officials were present. Upazila Livestock Officer Sarkar Enayet Karim said in response to the journalist's question that the quality of service in the Livestock Department has been improved in the current government.

Farmers of all levels are getting proper services. There are 1,400 farms in this upazila. The number of cows in those farms is 47 thousand 500, the number of goats is 1 lakh 25 thousand 60.

According to the information of the Animal Resources Department, milk production in this upazila is 45 thousand 300 metric tons and 2 thousand 585 metric tons of meat is being produced in 1 month. 30 stalls have been arranged in upazila square for livestock service week and exhibition in upazila.

Cows, goats, buffaloes, various local and foreign poultry, birds and various types of cattle food stalls have been exhibited from different villages of the upazila and district.

Finally, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Upazila Chairman discussed various development aspects of the government.

At that time they said that all farmers should refrain from various chemical foods. At present, enough cows and goats are being produced in the country to meet the country's needs. Now there is no need to import cows from India.
