Life convict accused arrested in Bagha

In Bagha, Rajshahi, RAB-5 has arrested Liton, a convict sentenced to life imprisonment in a case from seventeen years ago.
On Tuesday at around 2:00 PM, he was apprehended during an operation conducted in the Chak Narayanpur Palpara area of Bagha Municipality. The arrested individual is Monirul Islam Liton (42), son of the late Sirajul Islam from Narayanpur village.
According to RAB-5 sources, a life-sentenced fugitive was hiding in disguise for a long time in the Chak Narayanpur Palpara area of Bagha Upazila, Rajshahi district. Based on this information, the intelligence team of CPSC, RAB-5, began monitoring the suspect’s movements, confirmed his identity, and a raid team successfully arrested him. The suspect was caught seventeen years ago by law enforcement with a large quantity of Phensedyl, and a drug-related case was filed against him. Subsequently, the honorable court sentenced him to life imprisonment with hard labor.
The suspect was handed over to the Bagha Police Station, who then sent him to the honorable court.
