Lemon vendor hacked to death in Gazipur

A lemon vendor was hacked to death by the police at a place adjacent to the railway line at Joydevpur Junction of Dhaka Mymensingh Railway.
Lemon vendor Paritosh Chakraborty (45), a resident of Atrai police station of Naogaanda village in Naoga district.
This incident happened on Tuesday (January 9) at 12:30 pm. SI Shahidul Islam of Junction Railway Police in Joydevpur told this information.
He said that he was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital with serious injuries.
Injured Paritosh's mother-in-law said that my daughter's son-in-law was packing goods at the railway gate. Suddenly the police came and started beating. He was seriously injured after being hit by the Ekta Express train from Joydevpur Junction to Dinajpur in a police chase.
He said he sells lemons on the sidewalk.
Joydevpur Junction Station Officer Abul Hossain said that a lemon vendor was hit by the train. He was sent to the hospital.
Gazipur Metropolitan Sadar Police Station OC Syed Rafiur Islan said that the evacuation operation on the railway line is an ongoing process. ASI Zaheer was on duty at the railway crossing. Anyone can try to escape on seeing the police.
He said, it is not correct that the injured were chased by the police. The lemon seller saw the police and ran and hit the train.
