Sylhet Mahanagar Mahila Dal organized a mass rally and Leaflets distributed in different areas of the city throughout the day on Thursday as part of BNP's central non-cooperation movement programme
Mahanagar Mahila Dal President Nigar Sultana Daisy Presided over and general member Fatema Zaman Rosi conducted the rally.
former joint convener of Sylhet Mahanagar BNP, former panel mayor Rezaul Hasan Kois Lodi and central vice president of Mahila Dal Professor Samia Begum Chowdhury, Senior general secretary Safia Khatun Moni, Mahila Dal leaders Nazmin Begum and Hawa Begum among others took part in the distribution of leaflets.
While distributing the leaflets, the speakers said that the fascist government is once again moving towards one-sided elections to take away people's right to vote. The government will have to pay a heavy price for this. No patriotic crowd will go to vote in the so-called January 7 elections. Some opportunistic brokers of the government are taking part in rigged elections. They will have to stand in the people's court one day for killing democracy.
