Lawyer accused of harassment in Koyra

Lawyer Md. Abu Bakar Siddique has alleged that a lawyer in Koyra, Khulna, was politically and socially humiliated and harassed by spreading fake pictures.
He made this allegation in a written statement at a press conference at the Koyra Press Club on Thursday (June 5) afternoon.
In his written statement, he said that Awami , including an expelled leader from Koyra, are trying to socially humiliate me by spreading false information, fake pictures and videos against me on social media through various people.
They are spreading propaganda by mentioning me as an Awami Dosara in the false information. Which is completely false and baseless. Basically, I have been performing my professional duties as a member of the Khulna District Bar Association for 7 years with good reputation. While performing my professional duties, a lawyer from Koyra organized food distribution among the needy. He also invited me to attend the event as a lawyer. Upon receiving the invitation, I attended as a lawyer. Using that picture as a capital, they are trying to harass me by tagging me as an Awami Dosar.
In his written statement, he further said, I have never been involved in the politics of Awami and its affiliated organizations since my student life. I was the president of the Koira Kopotaksha College of the Chhatra Shibir in 2007. I have provided free legal assistance to all the families who were victims of police torture during the previous fascist government and have been providing the same assistance since the fall of the fascist government in the July-August student uprising. Since August 5, I have been the lawyer in more than 26 cases against Awami Dosars in the Koira Senior Judicial Magistrate Court.
Besides, a few years ago, when an objectionable video about me was circulated on social media, I immediately filed a complaint with the Cyber Cell and the matter was settled through the mediation of the Koira Police Station. But now, out of revenge, Awami League supporters, including an expelled Baisaa leader, are trying to defame and defame me by re-sharing the objectionable video on social media. Due to which I filed a general diary with Koira Police Station, number 359 dated 9/4/2025. I also complained to the IGP, the convener of the National Citizen Party, the convener of the National Citizen Committee, the convener of Baisaa, and several other departments.
