Kuakata beach crowded with tourists during Eid holiday

On the fifth day of Eid, Kuakata beach is bustling with tourists. The 18 -km long beach has regained its vitality with the frenzy of thousands of tourists. On the first day of Eid, there were few tourists due to bad weather, but these tourists arrived at the beach from Thursday afternoon.

The sand of the beach went down with the small crashing waves. Many are sitting on the beach bench enjoying the scenic beauty. Taking selfies with loved ones.

Apart from this, there is an increased presence of tourists in all the tourist spots including the mouth of three rivers, Lembu Forest, Jhaubagan and Gangamati beach. Due to the influx of tourists, bookings have increased in residential hotels and motels. Sales have increased in tourism related businesses.

Benchi businessman Md. Idris Howladar said, many tourists have increased today. In this way the tourist will actually be able to overcome the back losses.

Md. Joseph, a tourist from Dhaka, said that the highway was good when I came to Kuakata before, now the traffic has increased after the Padma Bridge has been opened and the road has also deteriorated. Among them is the bad condition of Pakhimara-Mahipur road. It should be repaired urgently.

Kuakata Hotel Motel Owners Association General Secretary Md. Motaleb Sharif said, today there is a huge influx of tourists, almost all the hotels are booked. We are ready for the safety of tourists.

Municipal Mayor Anwar Howladar said that the number of tourists has increased today compared to the last two days. Before the next tourist season, it is necessary to repair up to three points of the Sheikh Russell Bridge at Pakhimarah. However, due to the opening of the Padma Bridge, Kuakata tourists have increased a lot. If the four lane is implemented from Bhanga to Kuakata, more tourists will increase.

Member Secretary of Beach-Management Committee and Kalapara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Rabiul Islam said that Upazila Administration, Mahipur Thana Police, Kuakata Naval Police, Tourist Police and Fire Service are ready all the time for the safety of tourists.
