Kolkata thrash Hyderabad to win third IPL title

Fast bowler Mitchell Starc returned figures of 2-14 to help Kolkata Knight Riders thrash Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets to clinch their third IPL title in the Sunday final.
Kolkata bowled out Hyderabad for 113, a total they overhauled with 9.3 overs to spare as Venkatesh Iyer hammered an unbeaten 52 in Chennai.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, who broke the record for the highest innings in batting, did not bat well against the bowlers of Kolkata Knight Riders today. In the final stage, Andre Russell-Mitchell Starc's great bowling got them down by just a few runs.
Kolkata did not have to suffer much in this run chase. After 10 years of winning, they lifted their third IPL title.
Kolkata beat Hyderabad by 8 wickets in the final match of the Indian Premier League today. After winning the toss and batting first, Hyderabad were bowled out for 113 runs in 18 overs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Kolkata secured the victory with 57 balls to answer.
