The two advisers enjoyed the beauty of Kaptai Lake from Bargi Lake Valley in Rangamati via Subalong Jharna, Subalong Bazar to Stadium Ghat in Rangamati city and exchanged views on Friday noon.
At this time, Rangamati Hill Tracts District Council Chairman Krishibid Kajal Talukder, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Konkan Chakma, Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habib Ullah, Superintendent of Police Dr. SM Farhad Hossain were present.
Foreign Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain said that Kaptai Lake can play an important role in the socio-economic development of the people of the hilly region. "Kaptai Lake should be developed to be suitable for fishing so that the people living along the banks are not deprived of its benefits."
